“Odd News” Indeed (UPI)

The most recent filing in UPI.com’s “Odd News” feature, “Women’s Sex Fantasy Involves Eiffel Tower,” takes a look at a survey conducted for condom manufacturer Durex last year. Oddest little tidbit? “…46 percent of respondents said they were more likely to see Big Foot than climax at the same time as their partner.”

“Does Sex Improve with Age?” (The Guardian)

With “Does Sex Improve with Age?“, The Guardian links to a Daily Mail article that ran yesterday that looked at the results of  the “Sex Census 2012” (The Daily Mail’s article is “How Passion Vanishes in Your 30s as Financial Worries and Caring for Your Children Get in the Way“). Spoiler alert: the answer to The Guardian’s question is yes.

“…Intimate Behavior Aloft” (China Daily)

In “Cable Car Sex Warning Sparks Controversy“, the China Daily reports that riders of the cable cars at Yao Mountain are now presented with a sign that reads “Be cautious, it is risky to conduct intimate behavior aloft” [the image of the sign that accompanies the article makes the going to the original article worth it — STT] following the release of a video late last month showing a couple “…falling into a passionate kiss on the cable car.”

“Sex Toys to Become World’s Favourite Gadget…” (Daily Mail)

The UK’s Daily Mail has an interesting article (with an obscenely long, Twitter-unfriendly title) that looks at the booming sex toy industry. The piece, “Sex Toys to Become World’s Favourite Gadget as Sales Soar Toward 400 Million (Set to Match Sales of Smart Phones!),” is a set-up to an upcoming Channel 4 documentary, “More Sex Please, We’re British.” The article contains a bunch of interesting factoids (“…global sales of vibrators and other sex toys…are set to rise to 40 billion [yes, that is billion with a “B” — STT] by 2020.”) as well as some titillating details about Hollywood actresses and their use of (and opinions on) sex toys.
